Uncompromising Quality

Brewed.

On the Lighter Side

Beautifully bright, brilliant golden colours with a thick, creamy white head, and a happy amount of carbonation. ... The palate on these beers is soft, with lots of good crisp malt flavors. They are, generally speaking, the beers most likely to not taste like a beer. Usually best served shortly after mowing your lawn.

Old Country Pilsner

Award Winner, “Best In Show” in Saanich - Looking for something cool and refreshing? Try this favourite – a crisp, European-style pilsner. Easy to drink with slightly lower alcohol content than most beers. A fresh aroma profile true to this all-grain beer. Pairs well with pub fare, nachos, salads, and televised sporting events.

FGB: Fermented Grains Beer (Lager)

The FGB is an exclusive lager-style brew developed for our Vancouver Island Preferred (VIP) clients. We call it “the National Beer of Vancouver Island. Once you try it, we think you’ll agree that it’s a Fabulously Great Brew!

Czech/Bohemian Pilsner (Seasonal)

This full bodied and rich Pilsner pours with a medium straw colour and a linen-white dense foam which leaves a delicate lacing down your glass. The taste shows a bit more hops than the nose, and has a floral hop flavour with a nice lingering spice finish.

Reds & Ambers

India Pale Ales with that distinct flavour of hops; malty pale ales on the robust side of things; and a floral honey red to round out the selection. You can’t go wrong with these!

Northwest Coast India Pale Ale

As with most IPA’s, this brew has a pronounced malty character with an abundant hoppy flavour and aroma, which provides this ale with a profile that’s one of the best in our Micro Brews. Deep gold in colour, this craft brew classic will please even the most discerning ale aficionados!

Red Headed Honey Ale

A great bold red with a full body, a crisp honey malt character, delicate hop bitterness and a pleasing floral aroma. Best enjoyed with friends and some grilled meats.

Dark Vienna Lager

Since the mid-19th century this dark beer has been brewed in the Bavarian city of Munich, Germany. Our version is characterized by a delicate, sweet maltiness and a toasted nutty flavour. Pairs well with schnitzel and most types of wurst.

Darker Ales

William Shakespeare said that “a quart of ale is a dish for a king”, and we couldn’t agree more! There’s a range of tastes on the dark side, from a creamery ale to a rich Pale ale to the malty River Rock. We think you’ll enjoy them all!

River Rock (Pale Ale)

This brew has a complex aroma of hops, low bitterness and a pronounced toasted maltiness. Try it with spaghetti, lasagna – or heck, even leftover pizza works too.

Scotts Ale (Pale Ale)

We developed this one for a good customer, but it’s really caught on with others. This pale ale is a rich, deep golden colour with slightly English-style fruity hops, presenting pleasant flavours and aromas which balance well with a moderate body and malt profile. Pairs well with people named Scott and also people who know someone named Scott.

Creamery Ale

A medium-bodied, slightly fruity North American-style ale with a deep golden colour and a delicate hoppy aroma and flavour. Smooth and easy drinking, the creamery ale goes well with binge-watching 90’s sitcoms on Netflix.

Stouts & Porters

Stouts originated as a strong type of porter—in fact, they were originally called “stout porters”—and are made with a portion of heavily roasted barley. Known for their dark coffee and chocolate flavours, stouts are actually quite “light” in terms of their density – no need to bring a spoon!

Double Oatmeal Stout

This stout is an opaque, full-bodied ebony ale with a moderate hop bitterness and a wonderful roasted malt character and even a subtle malty sweetness. The addition of two types of oats leads to a creamy robust texture.

Ladysmith’s Best Super Stout

Brewed since 1820, stout is Ireland’s gift to the world. Ours is a dark and delicious concoction with a rich chocolate/espresso finish. Stout is a perfect match for shellfish, particularly oysters on the half shell, and also goes exceptionally well with curries and strong cheeses.

Nut Brown Ale

A traditional, medium-bodied, English-style brown ale with a pleasant roasted malt profile and low hop flavour and slightly fruity aroma. This is a great year-round ale but goes down best while watching a Newcastle United football club match in the English Premier League.
