Wine and Activities

It turns out that wine can also be paired to activities as well as paired to cheese or foods.

Chardonnay is great for early evening get-togethers, and as the night turns long and the conversation turns deep, nothing goes better with philosophy than a glass of well aged Port.

Wine and occasions also have a long standing tradition. Champagne-style or bubbly wines for romance, immediately spring to mind.  They’ll ‘sparkle’ your wit, eyes, and sense of well being. They say, ‘Let’s celebrate.’

What about sex?  What wine goes with sex?  Blush wines come to mind, such as Spanish Rosé, or the dry tawny coloured White Shiraz; they are refreshing and fun. Drink from the same glass.  Feed one another.  How about apricots or figs and a nice Late Harvest Riesling?  Or enjoy brie topped with chutney, baked, and accompanied by a luscious ice wine.
